President’s Message

We are thrilled that you have taken a moment to visit our official website.  On behalf of our more than 300 remarkable members, I extend a most sisterly welcome to you!  As the 17th President of this dynamic chapter, I am honored and excited to share how we continue to impact the communities of Chesapeake and Virginia Beach.

We are especially proud to share the exciting news that our chapter was named the South Atlantic Region Chapter of the Year during the 2024 South Atlantic Regional Conference.  We also earned two awards during that time: the SAR Youth Emergency Services Campaign, 3rd place and the SAR Alumnae Newsletter of the Year. These prestigious honors reflect the passion, commitment, and excellence of our members as we work together to serve and uplift others.

Since our chartering on March 9, 1978, we have been unwavering in our dedication to Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.’s mission of public service and the constructive development of our members. Guided by our sorority’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust, our programs and initiatives are designed to transform lives and strengthen our communities through:
